This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program.
A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was initiated on 11/16/2021 and concluded on 11/16/2021. There were 62 children present with 12 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-520-B-11 Description: Based on record review, the center did not ensure to obtain a written allergy care plan for each child with a diagnosed food allergy, to include instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child is allergic and steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction.
Evidence:
The record of child #7 did not have documentation of a written allergy care plan for the child's documented diagnosed food allergy. The center representative stated that the center recently gave the allergy care plan back to the parent per the parent's request.Plan of Correction: I will talk to the parents so that they will give me the appointment date, so that the allergy care plan can be turned back in.
